4/19 -- on the anniversary of the battle of Lexington and Concord, students finished Driving Miss Daisy. Also watched and read "I Have A Dream" speech. Gave ethics assignment (not for homework).
4/20 -- took numbers quiz, extra credit quiz (available only to those who attended class on the day before vacation), and worked on ethics assignment.
4/30 -- welcome back. Worked on ethics assignment (due Wednesday). Gave weapons report assignment (one minute, individual students reporting on assigned weapons from Vietnam war; due Tuesday).) Gave The Things They Carried chapter and questions for Wednesday. Students will also get an interview assignment so they should be trying to find someone who was alive and remembers the Vietnman period (though not necessarily someone in the military).
5/1 -- listened to reports on weapons. Told Sgt. Solberg stories. Gave Vietnam numbers for Thursday.

Listened to a bit of the Ballad of the Green Berets and Feel Like I'm Fixing To Die Rag. Listened to all of Alice's Restaurant.
